Built for comfort. Made for the sea.
Heavy Seas is a specialist marine upholstery workshop in Mallorca. We design, manufacture, repair and install interior and exterior upholstery, biminis, covers and enclosures, all in-house, in marine-grade materials built to withstand sun, salt, humidity and constant onboard use.
From a single cushion to a full refit, you deal with one team and one point of contact, from the first measurement to the final installation onboard.
Interior Upholstery
Interior upholstery defines the comfort, atmosphere and finish of every onboard living space. We create made-to-measure upholstery for cabins, saloons, guest areas and crew spaces, combining refined design with materials selected for marine use.
We work with high-quality fabrics, leather, synthetic leather, skai, technical textiles, high-density foams and soft furnishings, always chosen according to the use of each area, the yacht’s style and the level of durability required onboard.
Our interior upholstery work can include seating areas, sofas, headboards, upholstered panels, ceilings, curtains, cabin mattresses and decorative textile finishes. Every detail is manufactured to fit the vessel precisely, maintaining comfort, proportion and visual consistency throughout the interior.
Whether the project requires a classic superyacht finish, a warmer Mediterranean look or a clean contemporary style, our team helps define the right textures, colours, stitching and finishes for a premium, long-lasting result.
Interior specialist service:
Marine carpets, rugs and flooring solutions cut, finished and fitted to the exact layout of your yacht.
Exterior Yacht Upholstery
Exterior upholstery must be built for exposure. Deck seating, cockpit cushions, sunpads, flybridge areas and exterior mattresses are constantly affected by UV rays, saltwater, humidity, heat and daily use, which makes material selection and manufacturing quality essential.
We manufacture exterior upholstery using marine-grade outdoor fabrics, UV-resistant vinyls, acrylic canvas, technical foams, water-draining solutions, reinforced stitching and corrosion-resistant fittings. Each piece is made to measure, fitted onboard and designed to maintain its comfort, shape and appearance throughout the season.
Our exterior work is adapted to the layout and use of each yacht, whether the priority is comfort for guests, durability for charter activity, protection from the Balearic climate or a refreshed exterior look before the season.
Exterior specialist services:
Made-to-measure shade solutions for cockpits, decks and flybridge areas, designed to provide protection, comfort and a clean onboard finish.
Protective covers, canvas work and tarpaulins designed to shield upholstery, equipment and exterior areas from sun, salt, rain and off-season exposure.
Flybridge, cockpit and side enclosures with transparent panels, designed to improve comfort, protection and usability in different weather conditions.
Refit, Custom Fabrications & Accessories
For larger projects, we manage complete upholstery refits as coordinated in-house work. This allows interior upholstery, exterior upholstery, covers, enclosures, flooring and finishing details to be planned together, ensuring a consistent result across the whole vessel.
This service is especially useful before the charter season, after periods of heavy use, during a wider refit or when updating the yacht’s comfort, protection and visual identity.
Beyond standard upholstery, our team also creates bespoke technical pieces and accessories designed around the specific needs of each yacht. By keeping the process under one roof, we can control measurements, material selection, manufacturing, deadlines and final installation with greater precision.
Other specialist services:
Complete interior and exterior upholstery refurbishment as one coordinated project, ideal before the charter season, after heavy use or during a wider refit.
Bespoke technical pieces and custom upholstery work, from fender hooks and yacht furniture to leather work and thermal exhaust covers.
Made-to-measure protections, defences and finishing details that complete the onboard upholstery and improve everyday use.
